Free Online Photo Booth with
AR Face Filters and Photo Strips
Take a photo strip in your browser, add dog ears or a gold crown that follow your face, and download a print-ready copy in about a minute.
TryPhotoBooth is a free online photo booth that runs on your laptop webcam or phone camera, so there is nothing to install and no account to create. You can pick from 24 layouts and 32 lenses, then save your strip at 300 DPI. Since May 2024, people have taken more than 250,000 photos in our online photo booth.
Choose Your Photo Strip Layout
Your layout decides how many photos you take and what shape your final print has. Our photo strip maker has 24 layouts, and most people start with one of these four.
Classic 3-Pose Strip
Bigger portraits with room for a stamp at the bottom.
Korean 4-Cut Strip
The tall 4-cut photo strip made popular by Korean self-photo studios.
2x2 Square Collage
Instagram posts, profile pictures and phone wallpapers.
Studio Vintage Polaroid
One shot in a thick border with a caption and date stamp.
For Instagram Stories and TikTok, the 9:16 Story Trio and Story Frame layouts fill a vertical screen without cropping. You can also switch layouts inside the online photo booth, so picking the wrong one never costs you a session. See all 24 options on the photo booth layouts page.
Online Photo Booth with AR Face Filters
Six AR lenses track your face in real time, so ears, crowns and glasses stay in place when you turn, laugh or squeeze in with friends. The tracking uses Google's MediaPipe technology inside your browser, which means your camera feed never leaves your device.
Puppy Dog
Dog ears and a nose for silly group strips.
Cute Bunny
Bunny ears with rosy cheek blush for a softer, cute look.
Royal Crown
A gold crown with star sparkles that suits the birthday person.
Retro Shades
Dark vintage sunglasses that add instant attitude.
Sparkle Hearts
A pink glow with hearts floating around you, which couples love.
Star Halo
Glowing stars above your head for a dreamy party shot.
Few browser booths offer face-tracked filters at all, so these six are what make a TryPhotoBooth strip look different from the rest. You can preview every one on the AR lenses and filters page.
26 Color Filters for Every Mood
If you want a mood instead of a mask, pick one of our 26 color filters. Each one changes the light and color of every photo in your strip. You can use any of them with any layout in the online photo booth, and the table below groups them by the look they give.
Vintage and film
1970s Vintage, Retro 35mm Film, Sepia 1920, Instant Polaroid, Portra 400 Style, Velvia 50 Style, Disposable Flash
Dark and moody
B&W Noir, Moody Shadow, Midnight Blue
Y2K and retro digital
CCD Y2K Cam, Y2K Cool Solace, 80s Sunrise, Cyberpunk Neon
Soft and dreamy
Soft Beauty Glow, Hazy Days, Pastel Dream, RosΓ© Tint
Bright and bold
Vivid Punch, Candy Pop, Duotone Pop, Fresh Clarity
Warm and natural
Original Crisp, Golden Hour, Sunset Glow, Emerald Forest
The film filters borrow their names from real film stock. Portra 400 Style gives the warm skin tones Kodak Portra is known for, while Velvia 50 Style copies the rich color of Fujifilm Velvia. For a true vintage photo booth look, pair 1970s Vintage or Sepia 1920 with a cream frame. With 32 lenses in total, this makes TryPhotoBooth a photo booth with filters for almost any taste, and you can browse all of them here.
Customize Your Strip with Frames and Stickers
Once your photos are taken, you can dress up the strip before you save it. Here is what you can change.
Frames
More than 40 frame designs in 100+ colors, from Pure White and Kodak Cream to Cyberpunk Neon and Cotton Candy.
Patterns
Subtle Polka Dots, Minimal Grid, Star Dust and Diagonal Ribbon Stripes, plus themed designs for special days.
Stickers
Drag, resize, and rotate cute stickers and emojis anywhere on your photo strip.
Captions and dates
The Polaroid layout lets you write a short caption and add a date stamp under your photo.
Download in 300 DPI Print Quality
Every strip from our online photo booth downloads free at 300 DPI, the resolution photo labs use for prints, so it stays sharp on photo paper or a home printer. Downloads are unlimited and you never need an account. Enjoy crystal-clear prints with no watermark on downloads. Our guide to printing photos at home explains which paper and settings to use.
Meme Booth: Turn Your Reactions into Memes
Meme Booth is the part of our online photo booth with six layouts that have built-in caption bars, so you can shoot your own reactions and turn them into a meme in one go.
Meme Duo
Before and after, or expectations vs reality.
Meme Grid
The classic four-panel meme with top and bottom text.
Meme Story
Reactions that get more dramatic panel by panel.
Meme Saga
A longer joke with a punchline in every panel.
Meme Wall
A 3x3 alignment chart with a label on each panel.
Meme Strip
A two-column comic of quick reactions.
The Meme Wall works well for friend groups, because each person can take a panel and claim a label. Open Meme Booth to try all six.

You can make your first strip in a minute or two by following these six steps.

Photo Booth Styles You Can Create
Most popular looks in an online photo booth come from pairing one layout with one lens, and these five combinations are a good place to start.
Classic Photo Booth Strip
Use the Classic 3-Pose Strip with Original Crisp and a Pure White frame. This gives you the clean, timeless strip you would get from a booth at the mall.
Vintage Photo Booth
Take a 4-cut strip with Retro 35mm Film or 1970s Vintage, then finish it with a Kodak Cream frame. The grain and warm tones make new photos look like they came from an old film camera.
Polaroid Photo Online
Choose the Studio Vintage Polaroid layout with the Instant Polaroid lens, then add a caption and today's date. It is the quickest way to make a Polaroid photo online without buying film.
Black and White Photo Booth
Any layout works with B&W Noir, and an Obsidian Jet frame adds strong contrast. Black and white also hides messy backgrounds and uneven light.
Aesthetic and Y2K Strips
Shoot the Korean 4-Cut Strip with CCD Y2K Cam or Hazy Days, then add a Cotton Candy or Blush Rose frame and a few stickers. This is the look you see all over Pinterest and TikTok.
A Free Online Photo Booth for Every Occasion
Because the booth works on any device with a camera, you can set up a free photo booth at an event with just a laptop or tablet.
Weddings and Engagements
Place a laptop or tablet near the guest book and choose a Paper Ivory or Blush Rose frame. Guests can take strips during the reception, and our post on wedding photography mistakes has more tips for the day.
Birthday Parties
Put the Royal Crown on the birthday person and use Candy Pop for bright party colors. A 2x2 collage of the cake moment also makes a good thank-you card.
Parties and Sleepovers
Puppy Dog and Retro Shades are made for group strips, and the Meme Wall turns a whole friend group into one chart.
Graduations and School Events
A 4-cut strip with classmates in caps and gowns makes a keepsake, and a dated Polaroid marks the exact day.
Corporate and Brand Events
For team photos, a clean Pure White or Cool Slate frame keeps things professional. Meme Booth also works as a quick icebreaker at offsites.
Family and Holiday Celebrations
Golden Hour and Sunset Glow flatter every age, and themed frame patterns match the season. For ideas once the party ends, read what to do with photo booth strips.
Your Photos Stay on Your Device
Your photos are processed in your browser and are never stored in our database. When you open the booth, your browser asks for camera access, and face tracking then runs on your own device with MediaPipe, so your video is not sent to our servers. You can switch camera access off at any time in your browser settings, and our privacy policy has the full details.
Webcam Photo Booth Troubleshooting
Most webcam photo booth problems come from browser permissions or another app holding the camera, and each one takes under a minute to fix.
The Camera Shows a Black Screen
Close Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime or any other app that may be using the camera, then reload the page. A camera can only work in one app at a time.
The Browser Does Not Ask for Access
In Chrome or Edge, click the camera icon in the address bar and set it to Allow. In Safari on a Mac, open Safari, choose Settings for This Website, and set Camera to Allow.
Photos Look Dark or Blurry
Face a window or lamp instead of sitting with light behind you, and wipe your lens. The Fresh Clarity and Soft Beauty Glow filters can also help in low light.
On iPhone and Android
To use the online photo booth on iPhone, open it in Safari instead of inside the Instagram or TikTok app, because in-app browsers often block the camera. On Android, open it in Chrome and check phone settings.
Weekly Spotlight and Reviews
Every week we feature favorite strips in the Spotlight gallery, where visitors vote for their top picks. Tag @tryphotobooth on Instagram or submit your creation on our community wall to enter.
